My patients are very special women. Each has family and friends that love them and want them to be healthy, happy and productive in life. As their physician I can assist them in achieving all of these. I can care for them and their newborns during their childbearing years and assist in minimizing their physical risks as they move into midlife and beyond.

I get the same satisfaction from delivering babies and caring for women today as I did twenty years ago. The experience I have gained over the years has given me much empathy for the day-to-day circumstances women have to deal with in our world.

Growing up the granddaughter and niece of surgeons, my decision to become a physician came very early in life. Having wonderful, strong female role models throughout my life has given me a passion for working with and caring for women, making Obstetrics and Gynecology a natural career for me. I have a true love for obstetrics. I cherish sharing the experiences of pregnancy and the joys of bringing new life to a family. I also enjoy the ability to care for my patients throughout all stages of life. Gynecology allows me the opportunity to have that continuity of care from adolescence through menopause and beyond. I strive to educate my patients and establish a trusting, lasting relationship. The more I know about their health history, families, and personal preferences, the better I can care for them.

I love being an obstetrician and gynecologist. No other specialty in medicine could afford me the opportunity to serve the health care needs of women better than this one. You might say that this is my calling – a calling to serve women of all ages and to provide my skills and experience as a physician.
